Our Town
Thorton Wilder’s classic deals with a small town, Grovers Corner, in New Hampshire for a period of a few years starting in 1901. It follows some of the family’s in the town as they grow up and have similar joys and tragedies such as love, marriage, sickness, and death that all people encounter. One even gets a glimpse of life after death as Thorton Wilder visualized it. The three act play divides up life into 3 parts. Act 1 deals with daily life, act 2 with love and marriage, and act 3 with death. It helps the audience regain a perspective on life and events that all must deal with. Most people in their minds don’t delve outside of daily life. Love, marriage, and death instead of being profound and life changing tend for some people to be small interruptions in their pursuit of daily personal interests. The afterlife is likewise ignored. The audience will, for a time, witness how other people deal with these subjects.

Show dates June 7 to 9 and 14 to 16 at 7:30 pm and June 10 and 17 at 2:00 pm
