Marvel Studios Shows Off New Avengers Cast for Upcoming MCU Project

When Season 2 of What If...? comes out soon, it will have a group of Avengers that are both new to the show and known to MCU fans in some ways.

The first cartoon Disney+ original show set in the MCU returns for a second season on December 22.

From December 22 to December 30, one episode will be released every day. For a single project, this is the first time that the MCU has used this release plan.

This is one of two shows that will try new ways of releasing episodes over the next few months. Echo is the first live-action MCU Disney+ show to have all of its episodes come out at the same time.

One of the teased scenes on the What If...? Season 2 poster shows a new group of Avengers for the MCU that looks like it was based on the team from 2012's Avengers.

The Captain Carter version of Peggy Carter, played by Hayley Atwell, made her TV debut in the first episode of What If...? in 2021. The next year, she was in Doctor Strange: The Multiverse of Madness.

There isn't much known about the Wasp in the new image. Hope Van Dyne usually wears a yellow suit, but in this picture, she's not wearing it. Because of the red suit, the Wasp of this new Avengers team might be Janet Van Dyne, her mother.

Natasha Romanoff was a big part of the first season of What If...? One version of the character ended up in the world where Hank Pym killed her and the other original Avengers from that Earth, besides Steve Rogers.
