Emmys 2023: 'Yellowstone' and Its '1923' Spinoff Are Snubbed Ahead of Kevin Costner's Final Season

Yellowstone's Emmy nominations for 2023 were disappointing as the iconic drama approaches its series end.

Despite having the most viewers in 2022, neither Yellowstone nor its offshoot 1923 got Emmy nominations for the 2023 season.

Andor, Better Call Saul, The Crown, House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, The White Lotus, Succession, and Yellowjackets are among the nominations for Outstanding Drama Series this year.

Kevin Costner, who starred in Yellowstone, was also left off the list for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, while Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), Brian Cox (Succession),

Jeff Bridges (The Old Man), Jeremy Strong (Succession), Kiernan Culkin (Succession), and Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us) were all nominated.

Yellowstone's only Emmy nomination was for Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Contemporary Program (One Hour Or More) in 2021. The show, however, did not win the award.

Yellowstone was canceled after season 5 by Paramount in May. Part 2 of the final season will be available on Peacock later this year.

Aside from 1923, the Yellowstone world features several more spinoffs and prequels, including 1883, 6666, and the upcoming Lawmen: Bass Reeves.
